Aging and Intimacy: Fanning the Flame after 50

Valentine’s Day normally brings to mind visions of red roses, chocolate candy, romantic dinners and wine. But sex among older adults? That’s a topic not often discussed.

Sexual intimacy doesn’t stop with aging, but aging can affect one’s sexual health.  And as high numbers of baby boomers become empty nesters, retire and even venture into the world of online dating, seniors are increasingly interested in fanning the flame—and with good reason: Studies link sexual activity, good health and longer life.
