According to WebMD, back pain—the most common chronic pain in the United States—affects 80 percent of Americans at some time in their lives. Considering how we are so often tied to computers at work as well as at home, it’s no surprise that people of all ages now struggle with the common discomfort that can drastically affect everything from walking to sitting—even our sleep.
Today, from noon to 1:00 p.m., PDT, Kaiser Permanente is hosting an online chat featuring Southern California rehab physician Michael Jaffe, DO, who will be sharing information on how to prevent and treat low back pain. You can find a link to participate in the chat here (and even contribute questions ahead of time). Today’s web event is part of KP’s Healthy Chats series of online conversations with physicians and clinicians about real-life health concerns.
