Now that July, National Minority Mental Health Month, is in full swing, the Center for Total Health encourages you to join us in a new and thought-provoking tour focused on integrating mental health and wellness into everyday life. Through the power of storytelling, you will learn from a wide range of personas whose health is impacted by varying degrees of mental health issues or concerns. The personas not only serve as an introduction to Kaiser Permanente’s resources like memory clinics, trauma-informed care in schools, wellness coaching for stress management and behavioral change or depression care management programs but other innovators’ programs as well, ranging from the broader community to the classroom and workplace.
In recent years, Kaiser Permanente launched the “Find Your Words” campaign airing a 30 second film in all KP’s regions and online. To view the PSA or find more resources available go to findyourwords.org. Similarly, the tour also supports KP’s public health awareness efforts on expanding mental health care by starting the conversation about depression, adverse childhood experiences, trauma-informed care, alcohol and substance abuse, suicide prevention, eating disorders and more.
We hope to see you soon!
